Seminars in the field of law
Research and development-oriented companies often find themselves in a quandary: on the one hand, they often have to cooperate with other companies in order to obtain lucrative contracts. On the other hand, there is the danger of dependency as well as the loss of know-how and thus of core competencies. As a rule, the contractors have to start with considerable preparatory work during the negotiation phase and “feed” the client with ideas for solutions. Seminar objective – safe handling of confidentiality and protection of own know-how The seminar focuses on the protection of own know-how and the drafting of non-disclosure agreements. You will gain confidence in dealing with secrets. You will be able to design non-disclosure agreements and better assess those of your business partners. Good design usually requires the use of large resources such as time, know-how or money. This makes it all the more important for companies and creative people to ensure that design is adequately protected. We provide the legal foundations so that companies can protect the design they have created. This is mainly about preventive action and the development of a sensible strategy for the protection of design. Seminar Objectives: You will be able to assess whether competing products infringe your design rights and, if so, to defend yourself against them. You will learn how to protect your own design by filing a German design patent application or a European design patent. This will help you avoid liability risks and increase the security of your own investments.
