Attorney Markus Hoffmann-von Wolffersdorff
Mr. Markus Hoffmann-von Wolffersdorff is a lawyer specialized in commercial and corporate law. One focus of his work is advising domestic and foreign clients on all questions of general civil law, the establishment of companies, the reorganization of partnerships and corporations, acquisitions and sales up to the liquidation of companies, including representation in court. He advises commercial and export-oriented companies on all questions of foreign trade law and national trade and distribution law. A further and long-standing focus of his practice is advising and assisting European companies with investments and business in India and Indian companies entering the German market. The practice includes general advice on business development, establishment of sales and production subsidiaries, joint ventures and the assertion of legal claims and demands, including representation before Indian authorities and courts. Mr. Markus Hoffmann-von Wolffersdorff is also a trained business mediator and works in the field of alternative conflict resolution and as a moderator in executive feedback proceedings.
Lawyer Hoffmann-von Wolffersdorff studied law at the University of Leipzig. As part of his legal clerkship, he completed additional studies at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer. In 2003, he worked for several months for the legal department of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce in Mumbai and since then has been continuously involved with the subject of India. Attorney Hoffmann-von Wolffersdorff was a long-standing partner of the law firm Dorschner & Hoffmann in Leipzig and cooperates closely with partner firms from Eastern Europe, China and India. Currently he is striving to become a specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law. The theoretical part of the training was successfully completed.
Attorney Hoffmann-von Wolffersdorff gained experience as a lecturer for legal studies at the State University of Cooperative Education in Saxony, at the project “SMILE” of the University of Leipzig, for various chambers of industry and commerce as well as private educational institutions on topics of corporate law, export and market entry India. He gives lectures and is a lecturer at the ZAROF Academy in Leipzig.
