Lawyer and specialist solicitor David Nourney
David Nourney is a specialist lawyer for copyright and media law, a specialist lawyer for intellectual property rights and a business mediator. His admission is currently suspended according to § 47 Abs. 1 BRAO. The academic degree LL.M. (Industrial Property Law) provides him with additional expertise. His work is characterized by many years of experience and a pragmatic view for legally and economically reasonable solutions. His main focus is on the protection of industrial property rights (including trademark law and patent law), design law, as well as competition law and copyright law. Since 2006, Attorney Nourney has been a member of the (newly founded) committee of specialist lawyers of the Saxony Bar Association in the field of copyright and media law. Attorney Nourney is a certified data protection officer (datenschutz.com Akademie).
Attorney Nourney studied law at the Universities of Kiel, Paris and Leipzig with a focus on European and media law. He then completed his legal clerkship in Bonn and Cologne and trained as a mediator. In 2005, Mr. Nourney obtained the academic degree of Magister LL.M. (Intellectual Property Law) at the University of Düsseldorf. Thus, he has profound knowledge in the fields of trademark law, design law, but also patent law and other intellectual property rights such as plant variety protection and semiconductor protection.
Attorney Nourney has experience in training, for example as a lecturer for design law at the Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle/Saale, as a speaker of “SMILE”, a project of the University of Leipzig, the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management as well as the Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Kultur Leipzig, furthermore as a lecturer for Bayern Innovativ GmbH (business unit BayTech), the Steinbeis Foundation, the Scidea project of the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg as well as the “ugb” business start-up office of the City of Leipzig.
